Hi Folks, I am Kumkum. This is going to be my blog on health living, herbal remedies and some easy, peasy Indian food recipes. I hope you will enjoy reading and experimenting just as have done all along.
I attribute my culinary experiments(I dare not call it my skills) to my husband Hari of 42 years who had always encouraged me and never ,ever criticised the awful food I laid on the table when we were just married. Our son Aditya and our Daughter-in-law Aruna have benefited immensely from my homemade herbal medicines and coax me write a blog so that others can benefit. My brother-in-law,Manmohan has tired himself and no longer tells me write a cook book. So here is a blog Manna for you to read. Our dear volunteers on the Himalayan Farm Project have found the simple fare I lay on the table so tasty that I have a number of times been told to write on the blog, give them demonstrations so that once back home in USA,UK or Europe they can treat their friends and family to some Indian grub. My many , many thanks to all of them to encourage me to write.

Warning!!!! please don't get bored when I elaborate too much cause that's how I talk and elucidate.

Ok , so today I begin with the first thing we take in our system. You guessed it right-Oxygen. What happens when a baby is born....a pat on the bums followed a cry and lo! our new born is breathing. What would happen if the baby is a wee too late to breath!
Hence , let us now begin our day with simple deep breathing exercise. We all know how to do that. Any part of the body, any organ , which doesn't get sufficient oxygen starts to get sick and decay in the long run. What does a rotten apple do to the others? Actually , we all know most of what I am writing only that we neglect our bodies. We don't really love ourselves so much else we would pamper our bodies by taking care of it . On the contrary we pamper out taste buds and slurp on the junk food for the momentary joy.
Beginning the day with 10 minute deep breathing exercise to be later followed by simple yogic exercise will definitely solve much of our health problems
Have a nice day ahead and bye.
